Robert “Bud” Payton, age 91, passed away on May 12, 2025 peacefully in his home.
Bud was a veteran and served in the Korean war.
He was a long time upholsterer and gambler. He looked forward to going to Alexs-Bar and bantering with familiar faces there. During his time away from the track, he enjoyed puzzles and watching Jeopardy.
He will be missed by his four children, Craig, Shawn, Sheree & Todd, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, who brightened his face when they would stop by. He will especially be missed during the holidays when we would all get together as a family.
