How did she do it? How did she make each of us feel loved, cared for and seen and yet challenge us to grow?  To be kind, to be firm in our worth and abilities and to reach out in love.

I felt a special bond with Robin, still do... apparently many others did too.  We laughed and cried together. Wallowed in worry for our children a moment and then reveled in their success.  I was always impressed with the love she had for her family.  For the space they gave each other to grow … and the support. She was entirely committed to them.  She was also entirely committed to herself. To being a shining light.  It has been strange the past days since Tina told me of your passing. It has felt unreal. I still feel your presence in my life strongly.  It took days to be able to cry but now the tears are flowing.

You have been such an example to me: a strength, sunshine.  My heart aches for your family.  Greg, Megan, Mitchel and Jade, Andrew and your darling granddaughter. It feels like your life was too short but something about the fun, loving angel that you were here on earth …. feels like nothing has changed.  I find myself in awe as I have learned about how many lives you are able to touch.  I want to be better, kinder, laugh more and love more.  I imagine such a beautiful woman will be an incredible angel.

So now I weep and feel your loving smile near and pray that Greg and your children and grandchild feel you near.  A guardian angel now.  Your wife, your mother, your grandmother, my friend.  Still near. 


I will ALWAYS remember Robin as the joyous spirit she was. I never heard her say an unkind word about anyone. NEVER! In fact, she was always bragging about Greg and the kids. In the best way of course, as a wife smitten by her hubby and a very proud and loving mommy. We had a lot of laughs…to the point that we would both SNORT out loud, laugh so hard we’d cry and our backs, bellies and faces would hurt!!! We had some precious memories too! Doing church functions together, visiting at each other’s homes, driving through Christmas Lights,
etc.  One of the most memorable times is when our families went to the beach together! We went to the Tillamook Cheese/Ice Cream Factory  and bought some cheese curds (that we referred to as SQUEAKY CHEESE when the kids were little). We went to a museum together and came back to the car and discovered that their dog Baxter had eaten all of the cheese (and seemed to gain about 10 pounds from that feast shortly after). We went crabbing and also explored and found little hermit crabs for the kids to play with. We played on the beach, went for walks and got ice cream.  We settled in at the beach house in Manzanita where Robin and I made her chicken enchiladas together and then we all devoured them for dinner. So many great memories have stayed tucked in my heart over the years. They have always been treasures. Love you sweet Robin but I know you remain near and dear in our hearts as does your precious family. Until we meet again my dear friend 💝

I loved my time with Robin in Lincoln City. I would get so excited when those OB unit doors would swing open and Robin would walk in with her 2 Starbucks coffees in hand, her peppy gait, and the biggest smile. I always felt so comfortable having Robin by my side if things were going to get challenging, she was such a good nurse. If we were slow, I knew I could count on Robin to provide hours of hilarious and heartfelt conversation. Either way, it was always a win. Robin was so beautifully one-of-a-kind. Her "Robin" smile is forever etched in my mind. Sending love and strength to you all.

Robin was sunshine in physical form. Her smile and laugh will always be one of the most beautiful memories. I was lucky enough to have her come into my life about 10 years ago when I moved to Lincoln City.  She was the type of person who made you feel like you had been friends forever. She and I worked nights together at my little hospital on the coast. I can say that we considered her one of us, even though she was agency. The entire staff here at Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital send all of our love to Greg, Megan and Andrew.  We miss her terribly, thank you for sharing Robin with us.

My heart is breaking over the loss of your wife and mom. Robin was an amazing human being and I am grateful that I was able to know her.

Ray and I have been reflecting on memories over the past couple weeks. It feels so long ago. We used to have dinner and games at your house often. We remember banging pots and pans on New Years. Greg and Robin treated us like close family. They got to know us on a genuine level and loved on us. They demonstrated a marriage that was full of hard work, fun and love.

I would babysit the kids when Robin had started her job at the hospital. There was one day I showed up and the hospital had called Robin and told her she wasn’t needed that day. So instead Robin spent the morning with me and took me out to coffee. I told her I was feeling off and couldn’t explain it. She guessed I was pregnant. She figured it out before I did. My first pregnancy was very difficult and I was sick often. She was so helpful and supportive and I’m thankful she was there for me.

When I think of Robin, I am inspired. She was a woman who worked hard and valued life. She was always reading a good book. She is the one who introduced me to the magical world of Harry Potter. She had goals and never stopped working toward them. She loved to smile and laugh.

I really am so very sorry for your loss. The world has lost such a brilliant and beautiful light. I can only imagine the ripples of effect she has had through her job and through her family and friendships.

Heaven received another angel, you will be missed! I remember you like it was yesterday, having Megan in my Sunday School class. Prayers for the family and God Blessing on you.

Robin & I met my first day of 4th grade . She wore glasses and I hearing aids. The teacher paired us because “I was introduced to the classs  that I was “DEAF” and would need a assistant guide . I was mortified but soon realized how blessed I was to been given a 40 year friend ship who gave me more happiness , unconditionally love  and stability when we needed it the most 💕

I let Robin when she took picked up some shifts at the hospital in Newport and I just instantly loved her. Nights spent laughing and helping families welcome babies. It was wonderful to see her again when she was working in Lincoln City. What a smiling spitfire ♥️

Robin-a smile that lit up the room. Lived life with such joy and enthusiasm. Loved people and so enjoyed gathering with friends and family. The life of the party. Caring-always checking in to see how you were doing. FUN! She had an infectious laugh. Loved her family more than anything and was so proud of them all. So excited about her new granddaughter. Had such a great spirit! She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. She left us way too soon. Holding you in our prayers with love and care. The Wilson’s

The first time I met Robin was when a bunch of girls and I rented a room in Washington  to see, the band, Journey,  at the Washington county fair grounds.  Needless to say, we had a blast! This poem has helped me through terrible loss in my life.  I hope it will help all of you.

Robin was an incredible Scout mom during the days when I was in Scouts with both of her sons. Sending all the love and prayers from the Schofield family to yours. 

Thank you for helping me be a mom. From delivering my first son to helping me with my second, you were the only thing I looked forward to during labor. I love you so much & I will ALWAYS be grateful for you. 

I worked with Robin at Mount Hood for a couple years and I don’t think I ever saw her NOT smiling. You couldn’t help but be cheered up when you were around her! 

I had the pleasure of working with Robin in the Family Birth Center at Legacy Mt Hood. We worked together from the time she was hired into our department until she left us a few years ago to work as a traveling nurse. She was so excited and proud to be a nurse and loved taking care of our patients. 

About 15 years ago, my son fell and dislocated his elbow. We brought him to the Mount Hood ER and waited in the lobby for his turn to be seen by a doctor. It was Robin who called him back.  “Jeremy Porth” she called, clipboard in hand and smile on her face. It was so comforting to see her and have her involved in Jeremy’s care that night. For years after that, when I would see Robin, I would say to her “Jeremy Porth”, thinking of the night she cared for my boy. We know the Burgess family as our boys grew-up in Boy Scouts together, their boys just behind our boys by a few years as they grew through the ranks on their way to earning Eagle Scout. She was so proud of Andrew, Mitchell & Megan. Thank you Robin for your kindness always. 💔

Shortly after Robin became our surgical tech in the family birth center, she brought in her middle school yearbook. She was super excited to show me a picture of this girl she had been friends with..... it was my picture. I was stunned then was like... wait... where is your picture. She was a couple classes ahead of me. When she showed me her pic... I was stunned!  I was friends with that girl, but she had been so quiet and shy and withdrawn. That girl was nothing like the bubbly blond i worked with... we both started giggling and had our own little class reunion in the nursery.   She was so fiercely devoted to her kids and her friends.  She sent me her snowbunny pic of little June  during our April snowstorm just a week before she went home to Jesus. We laughed and we talked about the joys and hope that comes with grandbabies...   my heart is so sad and heavy for her family's loss. She was such a treasure and I will miss her visits, texts, and pictures of the kids, her flowers, and her joy.

Robin, was always smiling and very nice to everyone, I love and will miss her so much. She was a great nurse, my thoughts are with all of her family. Love Twinkie ❤️🥲

My wife and I had both our girls at MHMC.  Robin became "Auntie Robin" when our youngest, Isabel was born a month early.  We weren't prepared to welcome a 4lbs 11oz preemie into the world.  Robin went to the outlet mall in Troutdale and bought us a BUNCH of clothes for "Itty Izzy".   The world is a better place having had her in it.  And I am a better person having known her.  Love to the family.  So very very sorry for your loss.
