

He was born in Portland on December 21, 1956 to Virgil and Marjorie Anderson. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps right after graduating Centennial High School. He was Honorably Discharged as a Corporal with a Rifle Expert Badge, Pistol Sharpshooter Badge and Meritorious Mast.
Ron was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service for 38 years, starting in Gresham as a window clerk and working his way up to become the Customer Relations Coordinator at Postal Headquarters downtown Portland. He worked on the Postal Customer Council and was Postal Member of the Year in 2013.
He participated in the FBI Citizens Academy and enjoyed long rides on his Honda Virago motorcycle; a major accomplishment was riding 1,048 miles in less than 24 hours.
He is survived by his mother Marjorie, his daughters Corrie and Chelsea and his son Luke.
His memorial will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gresham on Friday, February 28th at 1pm.
