

Rose Marie Stolz, 80, of Boring, Oregon, passed away on January 14, 2018, with loved ones by her side. Her passing was unexpected, but family surrounded her and sang her into eternity. Rose Marie was born March 23, 1937, in International Falls, Minnesota to Edward and Nellie Simon. Rose Marie was the fifth of 12 children.
She attended Falls High School of International Falls Minnesota where she was Homecoming Queen.
She was a Bank Manager and enjoyed working with her husband at their business, O.B. Blakely Construction. She loved quilting, baking, keeping an impeccably clean home, entertaining friends, doting on her grandchildren, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children; Christine and Jeff Scott, Cyndi and Bob Kroon, Blaine and Tempie DeRaad, Kathleen and Steve Thompson, Nancy and David Thompson, Jim and Pat Stolz, Eddie and Terrea Stolz; granddaughters Carrie Montgomery, Sheena Blevins, Nicole Kroon, Ashley DeRaad, Amanda Conklin and Madeline Scott; great grandchildren Olivia and Cyler Montgomery, Peyton DeRaad, and one more expected bundle of joy (Conklin) due in July; 13 step grandchildren and 19 step great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed Stolz.
She was an extraordinary woman whose life will be celebrated at Bateman Carroll Funeral home in Gresham, Oregon on Sunday, February 4, 2017 at 12:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at the Willamette National Cemetery next to the love of her life.
