Samuel Ray Wilkins, 61, of Portland, passed away March 12, 2015. Samuel was born on May 13, 1953 to Jimmy and Helen(Hatchett) Wilkins in Fresno, California. He was raised with one sibling Carla Wilkins. Samuel served in the US Army as a postal clerk and he served in the National Guard. Samuel enjoyed reading western books, playing cards, fishing and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was also very talented at cross stitching. Samuel is survived by his sons, William Wilkins and Jimmy (Ashley) Wilkins; grandchildren, Serena, Breanna, Austin, Nadia, Anthony, Noah, Indikah, Vanessa, Leah and Jimmy junior; sister, Carla; and a dear friend and life partner Diane Enslow.; father Jim Wilkins. A committal service with full military honors will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon on Monday, April 20th at 12:30pm.
