Thomas grew up in the East Moreland area. He graduated from Benson High School and went to the University of Portland. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He first worked at Sears and Chung Designers. Then he worked for over 50 years at RCM Construction Company.
Thomas was a 50 plus year Kiwanis member. He was a Boy Scouts Troup Leader. Thomas was on the Board of Port Warres Yacht and Tennis Club.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp for handicapped children, 9325 SW Barbur Blvd. in Portland, Oregon.
Thomas is survived by his wife Gayle, of Troutdale, OR., son, Mike Sears, of Boring, OR., two daughters, Carol Lambert, of Beaverton, OR. And Linda Mason, of Gresham, OR., brother, Dick Sears, of Portland, OR., 9 grandchildren and his dog “Boomer”.
Private burial will be at River View Cemetery in Portland.
