Walt C. Seamons

Walt was born on March 19, 1955 in Portland, Oregon and was the son of Walter and Joy (Lawrence) Seamons. As a child he lived in Tacoma and in Texas. He moved back to Portland where he graduated from Washington High School. He later attended Mt. Hood Community College.

Walt worked for R & R Donnelly for many years and later owned and operated Design Solutions in Gresham where he was a General Contractor.

On December 21, 2003 he married Dana Deal in Portland. They were later divorced but remained lifelong partners.

Walt was a problem solver. He enjoyed puzzles, reading, art and building with metal and wood. He also enjoyed animals. He was a beloved father, husband, uncle, friend, son, brother. He was always positive and patient. He loved to laugh and had a good sense of humor. He will leave behind many friends, customers, and family who will always remember what a kind soul he was.

He is survived by his lifelong partner, Dana Deal of Gresham, daughter, Whitney Seamons of Vancouver, son, Cole Deal-Seamons of Gresham, Father, Walter Handberry of Mesa, AZ , sister, Faith Crow of Yelm, WA and brother, John Seamons of Anderson Island, WA.

A celebration of Walt’s life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Gresham Memorial Chapel in Gresham. Contributions may be made to the Oregon Humane Society.
