

Mr. Witcher was born in Augusta, GA July 2, 1963 to the late James Witcher and the late Mary Elizabeth Witcher. He was their only son and had 5 sisters. Mr. Witcher worked for Zacks in McDonough, GA for many years and then he was a manger for Kangaroo Convenience Stores for many years. He then went to work for William Carter Company Mill #6 and Mill #11 in Barnesville, GA for many years until his early retirement with the William Carter Company. His hobbies included taking care of and loving all his pets and working in his beloved flower garden and vegetable garden. He enjoyed loud rock & roll music, painting the house, helping anyone who asked him for help and going to the beach in Florida and Myrtle Beach, S.C. but most of all he enjoyed cooking special dinners for family and friends. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Witcher Blanchard.
Survivors include his life partner of 26 years, Jerry Pawlak and 3 faithful companions, Rosco, Lars and Duke; special friends, Don Mannon of Stockbridge, GA, Sissy Mary Searle of Griffin, GA and Peggy Morse of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sisters, Malissa Rayl and her husband, Brian and family, Lisa Jenkins and Her husband Jeff and family, Wanda Truitt and family, Janet Pollard and her husband Billy and family; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
His partner and family gives a special thank you to everyone at Eternal Hope Hospice of Griffin, GA, Dr. Charles Hitson, Wynn’s Pharmacy, Lisa Jenkins, Sissy Mary Searle and Malissa Rayl for helping in Billy’s care. A special thank you to Peggy and Dana Morse.
A memorial service with music will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family 1 hour prior to the service. There will be a private interment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Griffin Humane Society, P.O. Box 758, Experiment, GA 30212 in memory of Uncle Billy Witcher.
