Mr. Earl Vincent Thompson

Mr. Thompson was born on June 17, 1932 in Griffin, Ga. He was the son of the late J.H. Thompson and Nora Sue Hand Thompson. He retired from Dundee Mills after many years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Thompson was a member of Griffin Masonic Lodge #413 and was a member of Rock Springs Congregational Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by sisters, Ruby Clark, Francis Carson, and Betty Manley; brothers, Edward Thompson and Lawrence Thompson.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Sue Fain Thompson; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Leslie Thompson; grandchildren, Dylan Thompson and Daniel Thompson; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Doris Thompson and Bobby and Ruth Thompson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Cathy Fain, Harold and Rosa Fain, and J.W. Fain; nieces and nephews and other family also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Earl Vincent Thompson will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Westwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Rock Springs Church in memory of Mr. Thompson.
