

Mrs. Salter was born in Griffin, GA, daughter of the late Robert Arnold Fannin and Lois Fannin. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Haywood Fannin; sister, Ava Allen and her husband of 52 years, Herbert Salter. Mrs. Salter worked for the Secret Service, U.S. Post Office and federal agencies. She loved nature and was an avid gardener. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Salter was a member of County Line United Methodist Church of Griffin.
Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Sullivan and her husband, Ronald; Carol Kitchens and her husband, Ted; granddaughters, Megan Young and her husband Mike; Tiffany Santeiro and her husband, Alex; Traci Kitchens; Carlie Ogburn and her husband, Stuart; great-granddaughter, Jane Santeiro; sister, Gladys Anderson; brother, Robert Fannin and his wife, Jo Fannin and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to County Line United Methodist Church, 416 County Line Church Rd., Griffin, GA 30223 in memory of Mrs. Salter.
