She was the most giving person.  I treasure the friendship she offered.  We instantly knew when we met, we would be friends forever. Forever was too short.

I met Joice at her brother Greg's and Kathy's wedding. We hit it off and enjoyed her very much - "I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to meet you Joice and will never forget the fun we had at the wedding".  My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family for your loss of someone you loved so much and left this world way too early!

Joice, you were taken too soon from us all but have left an imprint on all that have had the pleasure of knowing you the past 54 years.  As your neighbor for the past 12 years I will miss the chats we had and the laughs we shared.  RIP my friend until we meet again.

Joice was a beautiful dancer. She kept her cool when everyone else was losing theirs. I had the gift of seeing her in October here in Germany and had pleasure of meeting Richard, the man she loved with every cell in her body. Richard I'm so very sorry for your loss. Thank you for treating her like a queen.

I will always remember Joice as a free spirit who loved life and had a child like love for fun and adventure! Such a gifted and talented competitor and beautiful lady. She is now living forever in the greatest adventure of her life and one that will never end. One in which sickness and sadness can never touch her! I remember a young woman full of life and she clearly enjoyed it.  Kind, funny, certainly pretty, and a gifted athlete. One of the few who could easily walk the line between "Freaks and Jocks" and be admired from both sides. Rest in peace sweet Joice!

Her soul, like a star, beacons from where the eternals are.Here shrined with many a sweet sad thought, that loved one memory lingers still.. She was a lady, proud and willful- yet kind and giving. Always faithful, with a joy of living. . But her spirit was strong. She gave her all and now she is gone. She was one of a kind.

Joice was an incredible athlete on the state championship Crestwood Girls High School Track Team, but more importantly, she was an incredible human being - witty and full of mischief and fun!  She reminded me recently about how we used to talk about our dreams and what they meant....not realizing that we were making dreams and memoriesthat would last a lifetime right on the track! Joice ran track for me in high school.  During the past year we reconnected on Facebook and share our experiences together. She really enjoyed me posting pictures of her track days on Facebook. Joice was an awesome athlete and placed in the state track meet in the long jump. Even though I have a heavy heart, the wonderful thoughts I have of Joice will carry me through this time of sorrow.
