

Mrs. Julia Ann Lovin, age 81, of Griffin passed away on July 2, 2015. Mrs. Lovin was born on March 28, 1934 to the late Ludie W. and Benjamin M. Hollingsworth in Pike County. She married the late Johnny E. Lovin Sr. on September 11, 1953. She is preceded in death by brothers Steve, James, and Harry Hollingsworth and sisters Sara Chasteen and Mary Beckham. She worked for Life of Georgia for 35 years, but her love was service to the Lord through her church and Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU). She was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church where she served as WMU director, Sunday School teacher, and many other church capacities. In addition, Mrs. Lovin served on the state board of directors and as vice president of the Georgia WMU. She attended Spalding High School and Tift College.
Mrs. Lovin is survived by son and daughter-in-law Eddie and Lisa Lovin; grandchildren Elizabeth, Peter, Catherine, and Rachel; sister Polly Wynn and brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Becky Hollingsworth; and many dear nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Ann Lovin will be conducted on Monday July 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church. Reverend Mark Sellers and Reverend Mark Harris will officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Hill cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to WMU’s Camp Pinnacle, 6405 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth, GA 30097 or to Southside Baptist Church’s mission fund, 1332 Zebulon Road, Griffin GA, 30224 in memory of Mrs. Ann Lovin. Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, 1155 Everee Inn Road, Griffin, is in charge of the arrangements.
