Margaret Sewell Duncan

Mrs. Duncan was born August 13. 1927 in Newnan, GA. She was the daughter of the late William Carl Sewell and Clarice Bridges Sewell. She was a retired real estate broker and formerly owned Powers-Duncan Real Estate. She was a former member of the Griffin Utility Club, Georgia Association of Realtors, and Golf Auxiliary. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Griffin. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Bobby Duncan.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Dan Moore Duncan Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, Dan “Dee” Jr. and Ann Duncan; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Louis “Missy” and Jason Whitehead; other daughter, Rev. Claire Arnold Yoder; grandchildren, Brooke Duncan, Tommy Duncan, Logan Whitehead, and Duncan Whitehead; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Connie Sewell; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Jim O’Kelly, Joan and Bob Jarne; sister-in-law, Caroline Duncan; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Sewell Duncan will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Dr. Bill Hardee will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Monday, October 8, 2012 from 1-3PM at the funeral home.
