

Mrs. Madison was born on September 28, 1920, in Griffin to the late James Ballard and the late Bertha Nelms Ballard. She was a member of First Baptist Church Atlanta and a pioneer in her field at Southern Bell. Mrs. Madison was actively involved with Stonecroft Ministries, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and the John Haggai Institute.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kellis Lamar Madison and her sister, Catherine Nixon. Survivors include her nephews Butch (Margaret) Nixon of McDonough, Mike Nixon of Panama City, Florida, Tony (Jackie) Nixon also of Panama City; great nieces and nephews Shannon (Robert) Eagle, Pete Nixon, Maquel (Eric) Shurtleff, Michael (Crystal) Nixon; two great-great-nieces and two great-great-nephews.
The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2013, at Haisten McCullough Funeral Home in Griffin, Georgia. Graveside services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Griffin, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Mrs. Madison’s memory to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
