Papa, You have always taught me the ins and outs of everything I do and you have been the best grandpa anyone could ask for. I am extremely sad that you are gone, but the family you created and the life you made is amazing. I can only hope and wish that i accomplish what you have in life, and that one day i create a family just like yours. It has been hard not seeing you and hearing your voice, but one day i will hear your voice again. I love you so much and i know you are watching over this family.

Papa, Words can't describe how much I miss you. I will never forget the life lessons you've taught me or even the simple math problems you had me try and figure out. Thank you for always supporting me in every choice I've made this far. I will miss hearing your funny stories and hearing you say "hi sweetheart!" But I know I have an angel looking over me. Papa, I've put off writing you as it seems so final. I'm slowly realizing this isn't the end, just a time where I can take everything you have taught me and put it to use. Yes, that means I'm setting up an IRA account... You have done (and are still doing) so much for me I can't find the words to express how appreciative I am. Each day I am realizing that you are everywhere in my life; in my work, in each and everyone of our family members, and in me. I hope I make you proud in everthing that I do. Dear Virgina, Theresa, Virg, Michela, and family: During a long conversation with Tony several years ago, he told me many things about his life - his accomplishments,fears,dreams, memories, and his love for his family. The lesson to be learned from his life is not to wait to tell someone that you are sorry, or that you love them. For Tony, life was all about loving those close to him. He cherished his beloved wife and children and all of his grandchildren - and he even made our family feel like we were part of his. He knew what life was about; and that in the end, it is never about a job, status, or what is in one's wallet. For Tony, life was about being a "straight-shooter." Telling the truth and living well were money in his heavenly bank account. Based on how he lived, the stories he told, and the way he enjoyed a good laugh, Tony will spend eternity enjoying his time with our Lord and entertaining everyone in Heaven. My family and I are very saddened about the loss of Mr. Ferrara. We very much enjoyed listening to his stories and lessons about his experiences and life. Tony was passionate about woodworking and he and I shared some close times together when he helped me build an oak entertainment center, but besides teaching me about wood he also taught me about life, and I learned that his greatest passion was his family. Oh Dad - I miss you so much already. I have spent much of the last 24 hours thinking about and reliving all the lessons you have given me over the years. All the moments you showed me love and understanding. Everything from the years we spent working together in the flower shop to all the words of wisdom that always seemed to be on the tip of your tongue. You could make the darkest moment brighten up and lighten up just with the right words or just a simple hug. You are truly one of the smartest men I have even known. You are truly one of the kindest men I have ever known. You asked recently if you were a good father. I just pray that I let you know at the time that you were a perfect father. Not only that - you were a perfect husband, son, father in law and papa. Although my heart is breaking - I know in my mind you are okay now. You have kissed both grandmas and both grandpas. You have met up with all the uncles and aunts. And you have already checked out the wood work up in heaven. Hopefully the miters are all perfect! I love you Dad. I will miss you everyday for the rest of my life. But I know that I will see you again some day. Until then LOVE YOU!

A business man with a heart! After reading everybody's thoughts, it just helps me to appreciate how short life really is. It makes me pray for God's kingdom that much more...because we are going to be so happy. Our heavenly father promises that it will be free of all sickness, pain, death, etc. As we wait for that promise to be fulfilled we can draw comfort from the words of Isaiah 25:8 which says "he will swallow up death forever and certainly wipe the tears from all faces." I truly am sorry for the family's loss of Mr. Ferrara.

Tony was an amazing person, always full of stories. Even though we only met Tony seven years ago when we moved onto Loginaw Street, we feel like we've known him forever. We enjoyed visiting with him and listening to his stories about the "old days". He was also an amazing woodworker. He made us a beautiful picture frame, and a very special box for our dog Megan's ashes. We are so sorry for your loss and the entire family will be in our thoughts and prayers. Virginia, I am so sorry to hear about Tony. I have such fond memories of him from the flower shop, the hair salon, St. Clements Church and numerous family events. He always treated me as if I was one of his own grandchildren as did you. You and Tony will always mean the world to me and I will miss him tremendously. My father in law was an amazing person who could light up your day by just chit chatting with you. He was more like a father to me than a father in law. Even more so than a father, he was my true friend and "compadre." I enjoyed every minute of our visits not wanting them to end and looked forward to the next time we could get together. I wouldn't trade all of our long conversations about how to save the world from destruction and how cute girls were for anything. Two peas in a pot just like young kids having fun and getting into trouble. I hear thunder from the heavens tonight and I can't help but think it is you and Uncle Angelo and Uncle Bill arguing about the price of gold and silver coins or which gun is better than the other. As usual the conversation heats up gets louder and louder and you are probably yelling "blow it out your ___!" Strange, but it is sweet music to my ears. I thank God for your life here on earth and letting me be a part of it. It was just too precious.
