Arthur C. Scheel Sr., age 81, died on Thursday, July 26, 2012. He was an avid sports fan of the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers. Being a lifetime member of the American Legion, he enjoyed the time he spent at the American Legion gatherings. But most of all loved the time he spent with family. Beloved husband of Ruby. Loving father of William, David (Kathleen), Dennis (Laura), and the late Arthur. Cherished grandfather of David, Lindsey, Arthur, William, Kyle, Erik, Alex and great-grandfather of Courtney. Brother of Hildur Stanton. Predeceased by several siblings. A special thanks goes to caregiver and friend Darlene Antosh and to the staff at Sanctuary at the Abbey. Visitation Monday, July 30, 2012 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a funeral service at 6:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd. at Masonic, Warren. Memorial contributions to American Heart Association would be appreciated.
