Bernice Hildegarde Bilbrey

Bernice Bilbrey of St Clair passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 19, 2011. She shared God's love with others through her words and deeds. Bernice was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 12, 1917 to William and Hildegarde LaCasse. She grew up in Detroit where she met and married Benton Bilbrey on Feb 2, 1939. Together they raised their children, Arlene (the late Jack) Consiglio and David (Mary) Bilbrey. Bernice loved to cook, sew, paint, travel to visit family and friends, and garden with her husband. Together they canned the produce they grew. She was also an animal lover, especially her dogs. In addition to her children, Bernice is also survived by her grandchildren Susie (Steve) Pierik, Stephanie (Robert) Hover, Amy (Paul) Oliver, Jenny (Eric) Ebenhoeh and David. Great-grandchildren Victoria, Meggan (John), Jacklynn, Paulie, Anthony, Katelyn, Adam, Emily, and Libby. Sister to the late Elaine (Bob) Watson and many cousin, nieces and nephews. Memorial Contributions to Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division, 16130 Northland Drive, Southfield, MI 48075 appreciated by family.
