Beverly D. Tannian

Beverly (Bev) Tannian has been dancing in heaven since last Thursday, March 23, 2017. Bev spent every day of her 77 years cherishing the beauty in every moment, loving her family and enriching every life she touched. She was born April 6, 1939 to Mary and John Kovacsity at Grace Hospital in Detroit. She married the love of her life, Philip G. (Jerry) Tannian on January 18, 1964 and spent the last 53 years creating a life unparalleled and extremely rare in this day and age. To any and all that know them their deep love was undeniable. She was the most magnificent mother to Kathleen (Michael Marrocco), Mary (Molly), Julie (Martin Fentner), Philip (PJ)(Danielle Vernier) and Genevieve (Gen). Her grandchildren, Timothy (Sabrena), Megan and Andrew Moehring, Noah Marrocco, Eleanor (Ellie) and William (Liam) Tannian were all blessed to have her unwavering support and love. Many people and police officers in the City of Detroit benefitted immeasurably from her unwavering support of her husband Philip as he served as the last Detroit Police Commissioner and the first Chief of Police. St. Paul's Catholic Church's Alter Society has lost a radiant Eucharistic Minister. For many years patients at Bon Secour Hospital were granted the gift of her peace and gracious assistance as she volunteered. The Grosse Pointe Real Estate Community will forever have a chasm from the loss of a conscientious, exceptional and genuine realtor. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 5 p.m. o 9 p.m. The Rosary will be held at 8 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church on the Lake, Grosse Pointe, MI on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 10 a.m. Beverly requested that her friends and family feel free to wear any color to her visitation and funeral.
