Carol Sue Jones, age 76, of Grosse Pointe Woods, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025. Born in Detroit on February 25, 1948, she was the beloved daughter of Joyce Cook and step-daughter of Jon Cook. Carol graduated from Eastern Michigan University and pursued careers in childhood education and banking. She was a devoted sister to Steven (Jane) and a cherished aunt to Steven Jr. (Marlana), Kaitlin, and Sarah (George). She also leaves behind her great-nieces, Abigail and Charlotte.
Carol's warm smile and kind spirit will be deeply missed by her family and friends in Grosse Pointe Woods, as well as the many new acquaintances she made at Baldwin House Lakeside and PACE. She leaves a legacy of kindness and creativity that will be remembered by all who know her.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
