

Darlene Sue Fisher passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 11, 2018 at the age of 71. She was born in Flint, Michigan on January 31, 1947. Her parents were Clarence and Dorothy (nee Rhanor) Hittle. Darlene was a true warrior, battling numerous bouts of cancer for over 23 years. Darlene graduated from Mott Community College with a degree in computers and received her bachelors degree in medical records from Baker College Flint Campus. Darlene was a great story teller. She was known as "Lady Morganna" to the students of Flint and Gaines Schools. She was a master of the legends story telling style, and belonged to the Michigan Story Tellers of Flint. Her artistic nature was evident with her costume designs and creations. She was an avid lover of sci-fi movies. She was a wonderful painter and writer. She will be remembered for her ability to tell stories and love of big jewelry. She is survived by her loving sons Jim (Darcy) and Joe (Blair) Fisher and her brother Dan Rhanor. She was proud of her grandchildren Josh, Sydney, Savannah, and Edison. She will be missed by her longtime companion Marjorie Douglas. A celebration of Darlenes life will be held on Saturday, October 27th at noon at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Guests may arrive between 11:00 and 11:30 am. Daniel Rhanor will officiate.
