A microbiologist, David spent much of his career at Parke-Davis, where his work contributed to advancements in medical science. His passion for inquiry and innovation extended beyond the lab—David was a lifelong learner, entrepreneur, and a man of many interests.
He was an avid ham radio operator, always ready to make a connection across the globe. On weekends, he could often be found treasure hunting at garage sales, or spending time with family.
David was predeceased by his parents, Ernest J. Alden and Dorothy W. Alden and brother in law David Young. He is survived by his loving sisters, Barbara Young and Nancy (Greg) Pecar, as well as many nieces and nephews who will remember him with affection and admiration.
David’s life was marked by intellect, independence, and a generous spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Per Dave’s wishes there will be a private memorial with Dave’s immediate family.
