David Simmons

David Larry Simmons was born March 6, 1963 to Phyllis and Larrey in Highland Park, Michigan. David worked as a carpet installer in the metro-Detroit area for many years. He entered into rest July 3, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was very active in his younger years, playing hockey, snowmobiling, and even downhill skiing were many activities that Dave loved to do. But none of those things came close to the love he had for his family. From family vacations to just spending time at home; nothing was more important than time with his daughters and the rest of his family. He also enjoyed the Detroit city fireworks, they were the highlight of his year. Dave would invite as many people as he could fit in his car to go downtown with him to enjoy the show. David was also a huge sports fan, from Michigan to the Detroit Lions and Tigers he was always rooting for his team! He also adored the band Led Zeppelin and almost always had music playing. David is the beloved son of Phyllis (Karl) Kubler and the late Larrey Simmons and dear father of Chelsea (Dave) and Shelby. He is the proud grandfather of Matthew and Cherished brother of Linda (Michael) Haviland and Tim. Uncle to Roy, Aaron (Andrea), Kyle, Taylor, Trenton, and Hensley. Nephew of (Carl (Carolyn), Judy Moore, Jim (Kathy) Clark, Dennis (Sue) Clark, and Danny (Mary) Clark. Good friend of Neil Dichtel and Nick Costigan. Funeral Service Friday July 14, 2017 at 7:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoneherr Rd. at Masonic (13 Mile Rd.) in Warren.
