Diane L. Moroney

Diane L. Moroney, age 69, died peacefully on March 12, 2016 at the Villa at City Center in Warren. She was born on May 19, 1946 in Detroit, the daughter of John and Betty Robb. She graduated Regina High School in 1964. Diane worked at St. John Hospital in Detroit as a nursing assistant and later at ANR Pipeline in their accounting department, retiring in 2001. She was a doting grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She played cards, especially poker and euchre; enjoyed going to casinos, bowling and jigsaw puzzles. She is survived by her daughter Shannon Smith (Steve) and her two grandchildren, Megan Smith and Bailey Czuchaj. She was predeceased by her son Chris Moroney and grandson, Joseph Smith. A Memorial Mass for Diane will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores. The family will receive friends at church after 9:30 a.m. Memorial contributions to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 would be appreciated.
