Elizabeth Canepa

Elizabeth Canepa was born on February 12, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan; the daughter of Salvatore and Arita Noto. Elizabeth married Peter Canepa on October 1, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan. Together they raised four wonderful children. Elizabeth died on Sunday, February 14, 2016 with family by her side. Elizabeth enjoyed bingo and knitting but was a true sports fanatic of the Detroit Tigers. She also enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beloved wife of the late Peter for 52 years. Loving mother of Bill (Leslye) Canepa, Mary (John) Carroll, Lori Canepa, and the late Sam (surviving wife Kathy) Canepa. Cherished grandmother of Michael, Chris, Jaime, Will, Erin, Adam, Sarah, Jennifer, Sammi, Scott, and Sean. Great-grandmother of Sydney, Ben, Colin, Natalie, Dylan, Sam, Sophia, Madelyn, Carolyn, and Xavier. Visitation Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. Instate Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 9:00 am until time of funeral Mass 9:30 am at St. Michael Catholic Community, 40501 Hayes, Sterling Heights. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
