Erika Luise Doerr

Erika Luise Doerr died peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, July 14, 2019. She was 84 years old. Erika was born in Essen, Germany on January 7, 1935. She met her fiance in Germany and soon immigrated to the United States. They were married on June 24, 1966 in Toledo, Ohio. Erika loved to knit and needle point. She also loved to bake and was known for having the best cookies. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Andreas Doerr. Loving mother of Derek (Maura) Doerr, Janine (Andrew) Lipinski, and step-mother of Denise (Patrick) Sheridan. Cherished grandmother of Phillip, Brigette, Maureen, Kathleen, Sabrina, Marek, Brecken, Christine, Erin, Connor, and Hannah. Sister of Gisela (Helmut) Bahl. She will also be missed by mans best friend, her Weimaraner dog named Duchess. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be held in the Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
