

Frank E. Stancato, age 83, of Sterling Heights, went home to be with the Lord on October 14, 2017. He was born on September 14, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan; the son of Carmen and Matilda Stancato. Frank served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Rene Catholic Church in Sterling Heights, Michigan for many years. Frank worked for Michigan Bell and was a 51 year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. In his spare time, Frank was an avid Detroit sports fan, especially the Detroit Tigers and an avid bowler. He loved all things western, including all the movies and books he could occupy himself with. He enjoyed spending his time camping and was a member of the National Campers & Hikers Association (N.C.H.A.). Frank is the beloved husband of the late Gail M. Stancato for 59 years; loving father of Michael (Tracie) Stancato and Angel Stancato (Kevin Hundsnurscher); cherished grandfather of Crosby, Karsen, Kristopher, Steven, Elaura, and Elizabeth; dear brother of Larry, the late Felicia, and the late Mary. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 3:00pm until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren.
