George Dakmak, age 83 died on February 17, 2012. Loving husband of Mary Ellen. A devoted father of John (Penni), Anne (Curt) Weiermiller, Peter, and Mark. Proud grandfather of Mary, Sara, Luke, and Grace. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 2-9 pm with Scripture Service at 7:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. Instate Thursday 9:30 am until time of Mass 10:00 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 467 Fairford Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea School, 467 Fairford Rd, Grosse Pointe Woods or to St. John Hospice MOB, 22101 Moross, Suite 102, Detroit, MI 48236. Mr. Dakmak was devoted to his family and his church where he was an usher for many years.
