Gladys Marie Updyke

Born in Middlesboro, Kentucky to the late John and Rosa Minton. Gladys was a longtime Warren resident with a love for travel, animals of all kind, and her family. Her family treasured memories of her cooking growing up and the trips they went on as a family. Gladys was very well-traveled from road trips around the U.S. including New York or back home to Kentucky or their family trip to Hawaii. In her free time she enjoyed time at the casino. Gladys loved her grandkids and showing her family how much she cared for them.

Loving wife of the late Robert Updyke. Dear mother of Rosa Byrd of Oswego, Kansas, Bob (Laura) Updyke of Sterling Heights, Michigan, and Jeff (Tracy) Updyke of Macomb, Michigan. Beloved grandmother of Mark, Chastity, Donnie, Trista, Allen, Mary, Susan, Amber, Brandon, Jeffrey (Trisha), and Justin (Tiffani). Also survived by 25 great-grandchildren. Cherished sister of Elmer, Slyvia, Joan, Johnny, and the late Elizabeth, Helen, and Edna.

Visitation Friday, October 9th from 9 am until time of service at 1 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren, MI 48088. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association are appreciated. Burial to take place at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy.
