Gregory William Rose

Gregory William Rose, the beloved son of Ernestine and the late Richard, was born in Detroit on Tuesday, August 11, 1953 and entered into rest Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in Grosse Pointe at the age of 59. Dear father of Jennifer Rose, Gregory Rose, Lisa Rose-Heckman (Darren), and Mechelle Rose. Loving papa of Anthony Rose, Adam Morton and Kayla Rose. Gregory honorably served as a Marine during Vietnam. And in his later years, he proudly served as District II Commander of the AMVETS Post 121 in St. Clair Shores. Gregory enjoyed good food and will be remembered for his kindness and generosity as he was always selflessly helping people. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm with White Clover Service under the auspices of AMVETS Post 121 at 6:30 pm; followed by a scripture service at 7:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Instate Monday, April 29, 2013 at 9:30 am until time of mass 10:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack Avenue, St. Clair Shores. Fr. Hoang Lam to officiate. Interment to take place Monday, April 29, 2013 at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
