Gregory Saffady

Gregory J. Saffady, age 58 of Grosse Pointe Woods, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2015 after a courageous battle with terminal illness. Survived by loving spouse of 31 years, Diane, as well as many loving family members and friends. Greg was well known and well liked throughout the Tri-County area for his sharp wit and acerbic tongue. He was Court officer and Bailiff to the 3rd Judicial Circuit Court, the 40th District Court, and many other District Courts throughout the region. Greg also served honorably as a former Detroit Police Officer and never forgot his roots in the City. He was a true and devoted friend to many members of the judiciary and the legal profession. A memorial service will be held Tuesday July 7, 2015 at 7:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, 48236. Visitation for friends and family will be Tuesday, July 7 from 4:00p.m. To 9:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested in his name to Beaumont Hospice.
