Joan Ellen Thomas

Joan Ellen Thomas died on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 with family by her side. She was born on Sunday, February 26, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan; the daughter of Gertrude Elizabeth (nee Konrad) and Clyde Richard Randall. Joan is a member of the First Baptist Church of Eastpointe and the Sunshine Circle. Joan was funny and generous with her time and money with various charity activities throughout her community. She could often be seen eating out for the social interactions among family and friends, but would partake of a good dessert. Joan is the beloved wife of the late David Thomas. Loving mother of David (Rhonda) Thomas, Jeff Thomas, and Cynthia (the late Terence) Grabowski. Cherished grandmother of David (Erica) Thomas, Brian Thomas, Grant Grabowski, and Trent Grabowski. Soon to be great-grandmother. Sister of Gloria (Nick) Buccini, Val (Fred) Decker, John Randall, and Ken Randall. Adored by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a funeral service at 7:30 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren. A committal service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 10:30 am at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Township. Memorial contributions to the Lupus Foundation or to the First Baptist Church of Eastpointe.
