John B. Heenan

John B. Heenan, age 86, of St. Clair Shores, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He was born Monday, July 12, 1926 to Bernard and Mabel Heenan in Detroit, Michigan. John was involved in adult leadership for the Boy Scouts for over 40 years. He was extremely handy and loved to garden. He had an innate sense of design. John also traveled to many overseas destinations such as Europe, South America, Asia, Greece and Turkey. Loving brother of Joan (John) Williams, Rosalie (Michael) Shea, Joseph Heenan and Daniel Heenan. Dear uncle to six nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 2:00pm until 9:00pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Instate Friday, December 7, 2012 at 9:30am until time of mass at 10:00am at Assumption Grotto Catholic Church, 13770 Gratiot, Detroit. Interment Friday, December 7, 2012 at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township. Memorial contributions may be made to Assumption Grotto Catholic Church.
