To Joe's Family, Thankfully, a few of us still stay in touch. Eddie Johnson just informed me of his passing. I loved playing music with Joe and we always had a blast playing in what my wife called "The Blue Shirts" band. I can still recall Joe's rendition of All of Me, and Pick Up the Pieces was none to shabby either. Uncle Joe You were not just my uncle but more like dad to me, you were always there for me and my family. I am very thankful that you were there when my mom was ill and after she passed, you always knew what to say to make me feel better. When I was down I could call you even late nights. I will always remember the last words that you said to me just a few days before you left us. I know that you are happy to be back with your beautiful wife, and my mom and dad, plus others that already have passed before you. My Dearest Uncle Joe, My last picture of you in my mind is that of you sitting by my mother's bed before she passed. Cracking jokes and trying to keep our spirits up. Even then, when I could see the pain in your heart, never once did you complain. I knew right then my parents made the perfect choice for my Godfather from the start. My Uncle Joe was the greatest uncle I could have asked for. When I was feeling down, all I had to do was call him up and he would always make me laugh. He could always make something funny when It should not be. He loved to eat and he could always out eat me. I tried but always failed to beat him. He always went out of his way to help anyone who was in need or would try to get others involved to help resolve a problem. Growing up, he was always there for our family when we had barely enough food on the table. He was a great man and I will miss all the lunches we shared. I Love You Uncle Joe. Love Kevin
