Karen Wakula (nee Clippard), a resident of Columbus Township, passed away on April 21, 2020 at the age of 67. A daughter of Edward and Geraldine (nee Fox), she was born on April 25, 1952 in Mt. Clemens.
Karen retired from M.O.R.C. State of Michigan as an executive secretary. Outdoors, she enjoyed fishing and camping. Prior to becoming ill, she was an avid softball player and bowler, along with doing aerobics daily. Traveling was something she also enjoyed. We used to go out of the country at least twice a year, to various countries on vacation. She was a very caring, loving person- always there for everyone. She was a very strong-willed person- never allowing anything to bring her down. She will be truly missed by everyone close and around her.
Beloved wife of Dennis A. Wakula. Loving mother of Shannon Marie Woloszyk, and loving step-mother of Allison (Andy) Sidote, Bradam (Nicole) Wakula, and Casey (Annmarie) Wakula and Adam Wakula. Cherished grandmother of Scott Alexander King, Staci Lynn Woloszyk, Hannah Fowler, Gage Wakula, Jack Sidote, Sam Wakula, Declan O'Donnell, Myles Wakula, Simon Wakula, Gabbi Wakula, Brady O'Donnell, Juliana Sidote, and Eli Wakula.
