Kathleen Elkins

Kathleen Elkins, 75 years young, a long-standing resident of Center Line, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020. Known as “Kathy” to all who new her, was originally from New Market, Tennessee.

She was married for 51 years to Ronnie Charles Elkins, who pre-deceased her in 2013. They settled in Michigan where they raised a family. Kathleen loved her family, staying active and really enjoyed going to church. She could often be found out enjoying and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She also loved to go to the casino, take walks, cooking (her famous dumplings were her specialty enjoyed by the whole family, especially her grandkids and great-grandchildren) and doing her word search puzzles.

She is the beloved mother of 2 daughters and 3 sons, Rhonda (Lawrence) Gayeski and Teresa (Thomas) Rydelek. Ronnie Charles (Chucky) pre-deceased in 1968, Tony Elkins, and Brian Elkins.

Kathleen is also the treasured grandmother of Amy (Nicholas) Barra, Heather (Randall) Eveland, Brittney Elkins, Brooke Walker, Ryan Walker, Cassidy Elkins and great-grandmother of Blake and Paisley Barra.
