Devoted mother, wife and grandmother who devoted her life to the care and needs of her family. She always put her family’s needs first never ever giving a thought to her own. Her love and devotion was unconditional in every sense of the word. Her home was a safe harbor for all who entered. Her joy in life was a happy home filled with friends and family. She loved activity around her the more the merrier. If people were talking, laughing and especially eating her well prepared food; she was the happiest. She hated quiet and solitude. Her love and generosity touched all who knew her. She always and forever will live on in our hearts.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Gore of Harrison Twp. and Sandra K. Thayer (William) of Novi; two grandchildren, Stephen (Pricilla) Pesek and Cathleen ( Mark) Staples; five great grandchildren, Andrew, Owen, Will, Rachel and Brittany, Branden.
Aside from her parents, her beloved husband, Peter Paul Gore; as well as two cherished grandsons, David and Michael, precede Kathleen in death.
Visitation for Kathleen will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm in A.H. Peters Funeral Home (20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI). Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 10:00 am in Holy Spirit Lutheran Church (4800 Orchard Lake Road, West Bloomfield, MI 48323), with Pastor Bill Matlack officiating services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America or the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
She will be laid to rest at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, MI.
