

Letty Ann Fiscus, 88, of Grosse Pointe Park, died peacefully at her home March 24, 2017. Letty was born January 24, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to Fred and Lenore Kretschmar. She grew up in Grosse Pointe and attended Grosse Pointe South High School. She later went on to Michigan State University and received her degree in teaching. She taught second grade at Poupard Elementary School for 6 years. She was an active member of Chi Omega Sorority. She also was a longtime employee of Jacobson's in Grosse Pointe. In her spare time, she was a dedicated volunteer at numerous organizations including, the Colony Club which raises funds for the American Cancer Society, Meals on Wheels, and Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital. She also was a member of NOMADS, Detroit Yacht Club and Grosse Pointe Memorial Church. Letty was a 70 year Michigan State Football season ticket holder and enjoyed going to the games every season. Letty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. Letty was predeceased by her husband, William Fiscus. And her twin sister, Francis Merrill, and daughter, Karen Bacci. She is survived by her sister, Carol Yaw and her children James Ivan (Linda) , Lori (Kevin) Prickett, William Simpson(Wendy)and son in law Kenneth Bacci, and seven grandchildren, Bradley and Kenny Bacci, Caitlin and Meghan Fiscus, Connor Prickett, and Harrison and Ryland Fiscus. Visitation Sunday April 2nd 1:30 pm 8:00 pm. Funeral Monday April 3rd at 10:00 am at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods 48236. Private Burial will be at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan.
