

Lillian M. Ahee, age 89, died peacefully at Martha T. Berry Nursing Center in Mount Clemens on November 29, 2011. She was born on June 5, 1922 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of George and Wieda Sirgany. Her family moved to Atlantic City, New Jersey and Lillian graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1940. After moving to Detroit, Lillian worked for several years at General Motors before she was married. In 1947 she married Louis Ahee at Our Lady of Redemption Church at Charlevoix and McDougall in Detroit. They moved to St. Clair Shores in 1953 where they raised their five children and have lived there ever since. Lillian also worked for a few years in the mid 1970's and 1980's for the Detroit Convention Bureau. Lillian was a fun loving person who instilled that trait in her children. She was the parent that took the kids on wild adventures and lived life for the thrill of the moment. Her family has many fond memories. Mrs. Ahee was a member of the North Lebanon Seniors and Our Lady of Redemption Seniors Club. She enjoyed traveling with her husband. Lillian is survived by her husband of 63 years, Louis; her children, Christine Satawa (Dennis), Janice Ahee, Rosanne Ahee (Doug Harris), Raymond Ahee(Cheryl) and John Ahee; her nine grandchildren, James, Jackie, Taylor, Zack, Max, Michael, Daniel, Ryan and Tyler; seven great-grandchildren; her sister Elizabeth Hilton, and her two brothers Charles and George Sirgany. She was predeceased by two sisters and a brother. Private services were held at Our Lady of Redemption Melkite Catholic Church in Warren. The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice, 23885 Denton, Suite A; Clinton Township, MI 48036.
