Lillian Eva Smith April 25, 1925 - July 20, 2018 Born in Detroit, Michigan Resided in Harrison Township, Michigan Lillian passed away on July 20, 2018 at the age of 93 at Arden Courts, Sterling Heights, MI. She was born, April 25, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Harrison Township in 1958. Lillians spouse was Elmer O. Smith "Bud", who predeceased her. They were married on February 28, 1949. She is survived by two daughters - Lea Madro who lives in Harrison Township and Gayle DeShone who lives in Dublin, Ohio. Her son James W. Smith predeceased her. Also surviving her are 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Lillians parents were Solomon and Eva Astrauskas. She was a member of St. Huberts Church. She worked for the VA after WWII before her marriage as well as a teachers assistant for Special Needs among other activities. Lillian was an avid walker and bicyclist. She loved kids, gardening, singing, sewing, crocheting, and knitting. She always had a sympathetic ear and was known for her sweet nature and kindness. She had a wonderful warm smile and was first in line to help anyone in need. Cremation has taken place, private family memorial services will be held.
