Lorenza Bommarito

Lorenza Bommarito, age 90, peacefully left this world, Wednesday, March 4, 2009 surrounded by her daughters after an eight year decline with Alzheimer/Dementia. She was preceded in death by her husband Giacomo Bommarito, (Bommarito's Bakery of East Detroit.) Lorenza will be sadly missed by her daughters, Nancy (James) Downes of Rochester Hills, Pietrina (James) Larivee of Troy, Laura Quasarano of St. Clair Shores and Jackie (Steven) Himmelfarb of Newtown, CT. and Grandchildren, Vince Lucido, Michael (Sally), Lucido, Jack Lucido, Brian Larivee, Laura (Brian) Emmer, Dana (Chris) Jones, Jim (April) Quasarano, Bill Quasarano and Jenna Himmelfarb. She is survived by her loving sister Elizabeth Ventimiglia of Shelby TWP. Lorenza was a talented seamstress and the proprietor of Laura Lee's Bridal Salon of East Detroit. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, March 8, 2009 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue (at Vernier Rd), Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. Rosary Sunday 6:30 pm. Instate Monday, March 9, 2009, at 9:30 am until 10:00 am Mass at St. Joan of Arc Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080 with interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
