I just found out that Ann passed. My family and I are shocked and so saddened to have learned this. She was my neighbor, friend, and a bit of a surrogate Grandma to my 2 boys. I wish we could've been there to say goodbye. I think about her all the time. I'll always cherish our chats in her yard and at her table. I loved her paintings and all the stories & wisdom she was so kind to share. I will miss hearing her singing voice on her voicemail. Much Love to her family. Humbly yours-Jonica Yakey & family

Mrs. Purrenhage taught our son in third grade at St. Clare. Years later, she was an RSVP volunteer in Macomb county when I supervised the program. Whenever we saw each other, she never failed to ask about Jason. And she was so proud and pleased to hear that he was doing so well. He still is. We are grateful for her contribution to his education. And I am grateful to have had her in my life and for her continued service to others after she retired. Rest In Peace, Mrs. Purrenhage!

Dear Aunt Annie, you have been the love, support and guidance through my life. Steve and I are endebted to you for all your help with parenting and guiding us with the Lord. We will miss you dearly but will remember you in so many ways.

We will miss our Auntie Annie! As we would always say with her and my mom, "We had a good time, didn't we!". From Bad Axe to St. Helen to Morrel mushroom hunting, she is with me in my memories of fun and spunkiness. God bless the wonderful Purrenhage family in this time of sorrow.

My condolences to her family, Anne was always a joy and a great helper for our crafts for VBS. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

I visited Auntie Annie while she was at McLaren. She looked at me, and took my hand and held it to her heart. Such a wonderful, compassionate, funny and talented woman. I will miss her dearly.   Love and prayers to all the Purrenhage's at this difficult time.

Aunt Ann will always have a special place in my heart. My Aunt and my Godmother she will be greatly missed. I will think of her often and all the wonderful childhood memories I have with her up north at the cabin. No doubt she is strumming on her guitar right now! Prayers for those left behind who have to live without her. I hope you find comfort in knowing she is with our Lord now and enjoying eternity with those who have gone before her.

Please know of my prayers FOR your mom and then TO your mom for each   of you as you experience her loss. I have many fond memories of your mom   while I was at St.Clare. She was a great lady who will be missed by the many   people whose paths she crossed.
