Marcella "Sally" Rita Keisic

Marcella Rita "Sally" Keisic was born in Detroit the daughter of Raymond and Mary Catherine Assessor. Sally passed away at her home on December 21, 2016 with her family by her side. In 1948 Sally married Andrew Keisic and together they raised seven children. Andrew passed away in 1994. Sally enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, crafts, sewing and tending her flower garden. Sally was a sixty-five year resident of Harper Woods fifty-five year member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She was a member of the Altar Society. She was an organizer of the Senior Action Guild at the church, providing hospitality and food for events. With the ladies of this group she began a card club, playing pinochle and other card games. Sally also volunteered with the Little League. Sally is survived by her children Dennis (Christine), Karen Treppa (Tom), Janet Keisic, Carol Lewandowski (the late Ken), Patrick (Michelle), and Terry (Lori). She was the loving grandmother of thirteen and the great-grandmother of Cole, Trent, Marcella, Jamie and one on the way. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Andrew, son Don, and her parents Raymond and Mary Catherine Assessor. Visitation for Sally will take place on Monday December 26 from 2 until 9 pm and a Rosary recited 6 pm at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. She will lie in state on Tuesday from 9:30 am until time of Mass 10 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 467 Fairford, Grosse Pointe Woods. The interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Capuchins, 1820 Mt. Elliott, Detroit, MI 48207.
