Maria Anna Posa

Maria Anna "Maye" Posa (nee Barretta) died on May 26, 2018. She was 96. Maria was born on July 28, 1921 to her parents Jacob and Marianna Barretta. She married Francesco "Frank" Santino Posa in 1954. Maria was a cosmetologist who owned a beauty shop. She retired and then volunteered at St. John Hospital for many years. In 2001, at 78 years old she decided to go back to work. She worked for 15 years for Club Demonstration passing out samples at the local Costco where she made many new friends. Maria is survived by her daughter in-law Terry; nephews Jack Dragich, Frank Alampi, Bobby James, Larry Robart, Jack Robart; nieces Marion James, Laura Hughes, and Brenda Haller. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank; daughter Lisa Marie, and son Joseph Frank; sisters Francis, Rosie, Nina, and Josephine; niece Denise and nephews Philip and Andrew. Marias life will be celebrated with a visitation at A.H. Peters Funeral Home on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Her memorial service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Great Lakes Caring Hospice or the Alzheimers Assocoation.
