

Marie Booth passed away peacefully on December 14, 2011 with her family by her side. She was born on October 17, 1920; daughter of Harry and Lillian (nee Schulte) Waters. Marie married William Booth on November 29th, 1941 in Detroit while Bill was in the Army. They moved to St. Clair Shores in 1948 and have lived in the same home (built by Bill) for the rest of their lives. Mrs. Booth was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for the last 63 years. Marie was very active throughout her live. She loved to golf at the St. Clair Shores Country Club. She loved bowling, playing Bingo and always maintained a garden. Mrs. Booth was a die hard republican conservative. Fox News was always on the television. She enjoyed listening to Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Rielly. Her biggest love of her life was her family. She leaves behind her dear daughter Kathleen (William) DeCrescenzio. Marie was proud of her grandchildren Kathleen (Tom) Bauer, Kelly Booth, Timothy Booth (Charlene), and Kimberly DeCrescenzio. She adored her great-grandchildren Ashley, Sabrina, and Bronson Booth. She was predeceased by her husband Bill and son Timothy. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 - 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Mrs. Booth will lie instate on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores. Marie will be interred next to her beloved Bill at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Twp. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Capuchin Monastery 1820 Mt. Elliott, Detroit, MI 48207.
