

Marjorie Jane Williams passed away on Sunday June 19, 2016 just before her 88th birthday in the company of her family. She was born June 21, 1928 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the daughter of Arthur and Mary Florence Moschel. Marjorie married Roger Williams in Detroit on October 14, 1958 and together they raised two children, Julie and Bruce. Last October they celebrated 57 years marital bliss. Years ago Marjorie worked as a teacher but gave up her career to raise her family. Marjorie was an art major in college. She was active in the AAUW, the American Association of University Women. With Roger she was active in the humanities- the theater, arts, impressionists painters and museums. Marjorie was always active in the lives of her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marjorie is survived by her beloved husband Roger, her dear children Julie Conaway and Bruce Williams (Laura). She was the loving grandmother of Stacie, Kevin, Andrew and Emily and great-grandmother of Bella and Sammi. Her parents Arthur and Mary Florence Moschel as well as her sister Elaine O'Neil predeceased her. A memorial service will take place 2 pm Monday June 27, 2016 at the Congregational Church of Grosse Pointe, 240 Chalfonte, Grosse Pointe Farms. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
