Melissa was a sweet, loving, and caring gentle light who brightened every life she touched. She
enjoyed simple pleasures; gardening - especially growing her sunflowers, being in nature, and
spending time with Chris and their fur babies Theo and Ralph. Melissa was a sweetheart,
compassionate and kind, and had the most infectious smile. She was truly beautiful inside and
out.
She is survived by her mother, Kristen Bonin Rodrigez; her fiance Christopher Blenman;
her siblings Megan Myers, Justin Bonin, Eric Bonin, and Richie Bonin along with many other
family members and friends who loved her dearly.
Visitation Wednesday 12 noon to 9 pm, A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods.
Instate Thursday, 10:30 am till time of Funeral 12 noon, St. Paul Lutheran Church, 375 Lothrop, Grosse Pointe Farms.
Donations can be made in her name to The St. Clair Shores Police Department K9 Division or to an animal protection charity of your choice.
