Michael Stewart was born in Detroit on November 11, 1951 the son of Robert and Mary Stewart. He passed away December 28 at Harper Hospital with his family by his side. Mike received his Bachelor's of Arts Degree from Eastern Michigan University. Mike was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He also played golf well and was a great conversationalist. Above all he was a devoted father and friend. Mike is survived by his daughter Sarah Stewart, his brother Tom Stewart (Nancy), and sister Betsy Kelly (Jeff). He is predeceased by his brother Bill and his parents Robert and Mary Stewart. Visitation for Mike will take place on Monday from 2 until 7 pm at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. The funeral service will take place 10 am on Tuesday at the funeral home. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Michigan Humane Society, 7887 Chrysler Service Drive Unit 100, Detroit, MI 48211.
