Monica Ann Strauch

Monica Ann Strauch, age 91 of Clinton Township, passed away February 7, 2018. She was born in Detroit on February 20, 1926; the daughter of Rudolph and Christine (nee Bemke) Schroeder. Monica was a longtime member of the Altar Sodality at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church. She will be remembered for being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Beloved wife of the late Emil for 59 years. Loving mother of Bernadette (the late Tom) Michael, Christine (Dennis) DiLaura and Kevin (Ann) Strauch. Treasured grandmother of Wendy (Brett), Jennifer (Brian), Karen, Monica and Ellie. Proud great-grandmother of George, Benjamin, Katelyn, Kyle, Samuel and Nathan. Dear sister of the late Euldine (James) Pizzimenti and Rudolph (surviving wife: Mary Ann) Schroeder. Monica is also survived by many caring nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, February 9th from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with Rosary 7:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13-1/2 Mile), Warren. Instate Saturday, February 10th from 9:30 AM until time of Mass 10:00 AM at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 22851 Lexington Ave., Eastpointe. A committal service will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
