Nereida A. Cordova

Nereida Cordova passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on March 24, 2010. She was born on December 28, 1929 in Havana, Cuba; daughter of Clemente and Maria Millares. She married her husband Francisco on April 30, 1955 and moved to the United States in 1966. Mrs. Cordova enjoyed shopping and traveling. She enjoyed music and was a wonderful dancer. Nereida's true passion in life was her family. She leaves behind her husband of 54 years Francisco. She was proud of her sons Frank (Terry), and Richard (Rosalind). She adored her grandchildren Kelly, Kyle, Rico, and Lanza. She was the sister of Clemente, Georgina, Myyares, Sira Cosio, the late Maria, and the late Juan. Visitation will be held on Friday March 26th from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. A scripture service will be read at 7:00 pm. She will lie instate Saturday from 9:30 am until the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church 15004 Hampton, Grosse Pointe Park. The Reverend Timothy Pelc will officiate. Mrs. Cordova will be buried in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Twp., MI
