You were a great friend Nick Jones. I remember going for long walks and just shooting the shit. Going to Sticks in Ypsi every single day after school to shoot pool, hang out, and smoke. I remember sitting across from you one night watching you play the guitar and thinking, "Damn, he's so talented, I wish I could play the guitar like that." You looked back at me and just smiled, like you were saying, "Thanks for being here, you're a good friend." You were one of my best friends man. I will never forget you. So many more memories with you that I will never forget, and none of them are bad. I've been holding on to all of them and won't let them go. People loved you because you had a special way of being around, and caring for those who needed help or guidance. You're still around in the hearts and minds of everyone whose lives you touched and no one will be able to forget the wonderful joy you brought to every occasion. I love you man, rest in peace.

I only met Nick once at the construction site, and in that short time we had a great talk about the Lord and his life. I don't know why Nick had to go to the Lord so soon. The Lord's thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways, but the Lord's will and plan is still perfect.

My condolences to the Gray and Jones families. I was Nick's first grade teacher and he was just a joy to have for any teacher. He was bright, always smiling and always a good boy.
